Children's Class

Masters of Mindfulness

ALL AGES

Our mindfulness class is inclusive of all ages. The best time to learn is  in the moment, with peers around to model and learn from. Creating classes that include peer interaction, social skill development, and the opportunity to intentionally practice mindful activities allows a child to learn without even knowing they're learning! They are simply playing, engaging, and learning in a safe and structured environment.

Our class schedule starts with a wellness check-in where kids can share how their week went, or the big feelings they experienced throughout the week. We follow that with some movement - yoga, dancing or stop-and-go games to increase body awareness. We include a meditation session where we practice finding stillness. We end with a mindful activity designed to increase resilience or calm. 

Developmental/Parenting
Coaching 

Coaching is available to assist in areas such as social skill development, emotional regulation, increase in self-esteem and confidence as well as parent strategy support. If your child struggles with self-regulation and it's impacting their quality of life, relationship development/social interaction or preventing success in daily life, they may benefit from a 1:1 session.

My coaching style is a combination of my education, experience and the individual needs of my client. I blend collaborative problem-solving, behavioural science, mindfulness, self-reg and developmental psychology to form a holistic view of the child and family. This allows me to consider all aspects of the situation and coach in an effective and empathetic way. 

​

Each 1:1 session includes a one-hour in-person at your home meeting or virtual meeting, a typed-up summary of what we discussed along with strategies or suggestions, and the option of follow-up by email or phone throughout the following week to help ensure correct implementation of the strategies.
